1. Current use

Perfume Guru does not load analytics or related scripts when the corresponding analytics endpoint or Cloudflare Web Analytics token is not configured. If either is configured, it activates only after your explicit analytics consent. Technical storage is also used for site preferences and, when you interact with purchase links, to resolve the appropriate purchase market.

2. Site preferences

The site may store the key perfumeguru_cookie_preferences in the browser to remember whether you accept or reject non-essential options from the preferences panel.

3. Functional commerce and language cookies

pg_lang is a first-party functional cookie that stores only es, en, or de for up to one year after you explicitly switch language. It is used only to remember that language preference; it is not used for analytics, advertising, precise location, or affiliate-market selection.

pg_market is a functional cookie that stores your purchase-market preference (ES or DE) for up to one year. It is used only so purchase links can continue to a retailer compatible with the region you selected.

pg_pending_buy is a functional HttpOnly cookie that stores a validated purchase intent for up to ten minutes when the flow still requires a market choice or a resume step. It is cleared after you continue, cancel, or let it expire.

4. Edge country detection

Cloudflare Pages may provide an ephemeral country signal for the current request. On /, it may select the entry-language version (/, /es/, or /de/); on /api/* and /go/*, it may resolve the purchase market for the current flow. This signal does not change an explicit pg_lang preference or set a persistent affiliate-market preference (pg_market). Perfume Guru does not retain the raw country value, IP address, or precise location for this feature.

5. Configuration

You can delete stored data from your browser or reopen the preferences panel from the footer. If you remove these functional cookies, the site may ask you to choose your purchase market again when needed.
